It's now time to renew your registration! Instructions for your online renewal will be emailed to you shortly and are due by March 31, 2017 at 11:59pm. Be sure to renew on time so you can continue to practice as a Licensed Optician and avoid additional fees. In order to renew, please ensure that you are up to date on you continuing education credits and that you have completed the criminal record check if you were required to do so.

Continuing Education Requirements

Renewals will not be processed if you have not addressed any overdue Continuing Education (CE) credit requirements. If you still need to submit your past due CE requirements, please fill in the Credit Submission Summary Form and submit it along with your required credit slips. If you have not completed your required credits and need an extension, please submit a continuing education planner. Submission can be made by mail, fax or email.

Criminal Record Re-Check Requirements

If you have not completed a required Criminal Record Re-Check and you have been contacted to do so, you must complete the application online. Do not do a police check at your local RCMP station as it is not the same thing and will not fulfill your requirements. To ensure your renewal is submitted on time, please note the Criminal Record Review office requires 2-3 weeks to process your application before we receive confirmation of your successful criminal record re-check. Please note this only applies to those of you that have been previously contacted to complete the check. If you have any questions, please contact the College
